Weather info is posted by the University- http://prepare.ua.edu/ The first Wednesday of each month at noon the local area has a practice siren test. the siren is on top of Gorgas Library. If you hear the siren as a warning, go to the lowest floor away from windows and wait for it to pass.
Blue Phones- There are over 70 Blue Phones installed on campus. These are direct lines to University Police. No dialing is necessary. In an emergency, all you do is push the red button.

Lighting- Lighting should contribute to safety. If you see an outdoor light that isn't working, call University Facilities at 205-348-6001.

UA Quad Recycling- Volunteers are needed to clean up after the homegames. Learn what we are doing to create a "GREENER WAY FOR UA". Quad Recycling tent is between Gorgas and Tuomey Hall.
FATE (Future Alumni for Tradition and Excellence) will host a free riverboat cruise on the Bama Belle on October 22, 7-9:45 pm. Membership is $15 per year. http://fate.ua.edu

Service/Volunteer
Community Service Center- The mission of the community Service Center is to educate students for service advocacy and leadership, civic responsibility, and lifelong volunteerism by increasing awareness of community needs, resources and opportunities for social problem solving. Beat Auburn Beat Hunger- This is an annual event! During the 4 weeks leading up to the Iron Bowl, students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members "fight" hunger and poverty in West Alabama by challenging Auburn and the Food Bank of East Alabama to see who can collect more non-perishables. http://volunteer.ua.edu/babh/help.htm
